Polycot Labs takes a blended approach to projects, mixing elements of the waterfall (spec fully then build) and spiral (spec lightly, build, revise, build, etc) approaches.  We’ve found that some projects lean more towards the waterfall and some projects lean more toward the spiral, but all projects work best with elements of both.
